JACKET/PARKA/TUNIC CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE OF GARMENT |
GREATCOAT / TRENCHCOAT / WATERPROOF CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE OF GARMENT |
Because military garment sizing and labelling varies wildly, we state the wearer's chest size and height that a garment will fit. So measure yourself and look for that size in the options available. |
How we ascertain a chest size |
Jackets/parkas etc - what does "p-p" mean? |
As these garments are usually worn with a shirt or jumper underneath, we measure each garment and take 2 inches (5cm) off to define a chest size that will comfortably fit. p-p means pit to pit - i.e. the garment is laid flat and we measure across the armpits and double that distance for full circumference. |
Greatcoats, trench coats and waterproof over-jackets |
These garments are intended to be worn over multiple under-layers and so we make a 4" allowance on top of the wearer's chest size. |

Genuine Soviet era Bulgarian army 3/4 length greatcoats made from hard wearing thick grey wool with an incredibly warm sheepskin liner and dark fur collar (collar colour may vary slightly).
Please note that these coats have been long-term stored and have been protected from moths, which will mean they have an distinctive odour, but this dissipates after prolonged airing.
Important Note: The fur on the collar of the coats may be coming away ever so slightly, causing minor patches. The price has been dropped to reflect this.
