Sturdy transportation case with removable* inner foam rubber lining. New boxes retail in excess of £400, so these second user items represent excellent value for money.
Designed for shipping sensitive electrical controls and computers, this case makes an excellent shipping container for similar precious cargoes. The base is 170mm high and the lid is much deeper at 400mm and so the case lends itself to objects with a maximum height of 50cm.
These cases are designed to be carried by holding the handles on the base component with a loaded weight of up to 40kg. Of course a lighter load can be lifted with the handles on the lid component, but these are centrally located and so may allow the case to hang to one side if load is not balanced or stowed safely.
- Base has foam rubber recesses for the original contents and this can be removed to expose the lower sheet of foam that covers the entire surface of the inside of the base.
The handles are designed for use with the base downwards as they hinge outward to a position perpendicular to the case and then meet the stoppers. Therefore, if the case is inverted, the handles are upside down and will swing with the load rather than provide solid, fixed lifting points.
