Why is our system different?Because military garment sizing and labelling varies wildly from country to country, we have gone back to basics and after measuring each garment, we provide the chest size and height of a person that the garment will be suitable for. So, simply measure yourself and look for that size in the options available in any of our products. |

What are all the strange numbers and letters shown in the sizing options of each garment?Military organisations around the world have a wide range of specific sizing systems which will appear on the garment labels. This gives us a great way of managing stock of similarly labelled garments, but it can be confusing to the average purchaser. Here's a few military systems

This Danish Civil Defence Force coat is made of 100% heavy cotton and so is easy to care for and wash. Designed to give weather protection as well as provide rugged durability when working on dirty outdoor activity, these jackets make excellent modern choice for similar use, whether that be in the garden, at work, or just generally out and about in the countryside.
The jackets date from a time when the Cold War meant Danish civil defence was more military in its activity, nowadays it's more closely used as a term for generic community protection groups. This version - designed in 1971 - superseded by the M84 version - does not have the distinctive shoulder flashes of its later counterpart, and so offers a subtler alternative.

Note on chest sizes
The sizes we quote for chest fitting assumes the wearer will be wearing a light jumper at most underneath. So, any additional under-layers, would require a larger size if we have one available.
