French army "Gore-Tex" jacket in CCE camouflage pattern. This garment is awesome, and full of clever fitting and function additions. Used as an shell over-jacket, it adds a great waterproof layer on to top of warm garments worn beneath or even protective biking gear.
The front zip has a quick release facility so that when the zip slide is pulled right up to the top, it is possible to wrench the zip apart and separate it right down to the bottom and 'bug out' quickly. See the video here
Motorcyclists may be interested in the design being suitable for use over a military helmet too, and so there's extra capacity in the hood's volume to permit this. But of course, not everyone needs this extra capacity, and so there's an adjuster strap at the rear to prevent the hood covering the wearer's face, genius.

- Two vertical zipped chest map pockets.
- Quick-release zip-fastened front - with press stud storm flap. The zip is also 'two-way' and so allows access to under garments, or makes sitting down easier.
- Zipped under-arm vents to allow air to circulate and to help the wear to stay dry, even during heavy exercise.
- MVP hood is concealed within the collar when not needed and has an elasticated cord tightening system with sprung loaded locking dongles.
- High storm collar to protect the neck and lower face from the elements.
- Elasticated cord at the hem for retaining heat and a fitted look if desired, by use of sprung dongles.
- Velcro adjusted cuffs.
- Hood has capacity for helmet and a rear adjuster strap for when worn normally.

These "Gore-Tex" jackets are designed to be a lightweight waterproof and breathable outer layer (hard shell), to be worn over thermal layers so they are a generously cut to allow for layering and movement. The sizes we list are based on the measured chest width from arm-pit to arm-pit. The French labelling system does not reflect the measured dimensions of the jacket, but relates to one particular size of kit that would be issued to a particular individual - i.e. for instance, a French soldier with a 104cm chest, would have all of his jackets and under garments with 104C on the labels, and the top layer would by design have a bigger chest dimension in order to accommodate all of the under layers, clever eh?
