This Austrian Mountain "Gore-Tex"* jacket is genuine military surplus issue! It has a waterproof and breathable membrane sandwiched between an outer protective fabric layer, to protect the membrane from damage, and a comfortable inner lining. These jackets allow water vapour (sweat) to escape while keeping out the wind and rain.
The Austrian Army Gore-Tex Mountain Parka is a high performance parka and were issued to the Alpine division of the Austrian Army.
The Osterreich Bundesheer crest on the left arm is in tactical grey and green colour fabric (may be missing).
* Please note that, unlike these coats, some of our garments may have an alternatively branded microporous membrane rather than a Gore-Tex branded one. These garments, supplied for military orders, are of course still top specification and so Gore-Tex should be regarded as generic description. See our technical notes page.
Features:
- In DISTRESSED condition, and so will have marks and possible repairs or faults.
- Fixed three layer Gore-Tex lined hood with drawstring cord.
- Shoulder epaulettes.
- Elasticated inner storm curtain (prevents wind and water rising past waist level).
- Two large waist pockets secured by Velcro and two inner lining pockets.
- Austrian army olive green colour.
- Zip fastened front with Velcro storm flap. Zips may be replacements.
- Velcro adjustable cuffs.
- May have the Austrian military (Bundesheer) cloth badge emblem on the left arm.
